End-of-year message from our CEO

Merry Christmas from CMT with CMT Engineering logo and snowy pines

“As we say goodbye to 2025, I realise the word that could define us here at CMT Engineering is ‘hold’. Through unfavourable market conditions we have been able to hold our sales and maintain our strong reputation in our industry. We have honoured all our commitments and paid all our bills on due dates.

With the way trading is currently, this is not a bad situation to be in.

Into 2026, we will hold fast to our integrity and values as well as onto hope that the market will recover soon.

Some further positive reflections on the year:

  • Our new CNC machine has started operations without a hitch, giving us scope for new productions and resulting increased agility and production.
  • I have become a member of Sandwell Council’s Togetherness board – more on that next year. This is in addition to my role as a Sandwell Business Ambassador, which I first took on in 2020.
  • We have decided to invest in solar panels for our second roof – and these will produce 35% of the electricity we need. Our first set, which we installed last year, produced 10%. This investment will also repair the roof in our warehouse bay.
  • We are looking into expanding our storage space for tube, and buying new threading machines.

And a happy announcement for next year:

* From 1 January 2026, every CMT employee will get one extra day of paid holiday on their birthday.

Have a wonderful Christmas and new year. Rest well and enjoy time with loved ones”.
