Spartan® DIY G-Clamp

Spartan DIY G-Clamp with swivel foot

Spartan® DIY G-Clamp: description

We make the Spartan® DIY G-Clamp at our premises in the West Midlands, UK.

We mould it in high-quality, glass-filled Noryl which is strong, rust-free and chemical-resistant, and safe for most electrical applications.

A thumb screw provides the clamping force. We have designed the pad to pivot freely while force is applied to the screw.

Although extremely strong, the Spartan® DIY G-Clamp weighs just 225g, making it lighter than a forged steel clamp.

Spartan® DIY G-Clamp: applications

We have developed the Spartan® DIY G-Clamp for both industrial and domestic use. Here are just some situations in which you could use it:

For woodworking

Thanks to the swivel pad, Spartan® DIY G-Clamp is ideal for clamping glued joints without damaging any surfaces, even when working on softer woods or veneers. It is lightweight enough that many people could fix it in place one-handed when moving materials into awkward clamping positions.

For most electrical installations

Our Spartan® DIY G-Clamp is made from Noryl, which has insulating properties and is safe to use around live components. You could use it for securing conduit or back boxes while fixing to walls or ceilings, or for holding cable trays or junction boxes temporarily during setup.

For toolboxes, trade vehicles, workshops and general DIY

The Noryl composition of our Spartan® DIY G-Clamp makes it rust-free and therefore fine to use outdoors and store in environments that can get damp, such as sheds or garages. It is perfect for securing materials while you drill, saw or file. The clamp’s combination of lightness (just 225g) and toughness makes it the perfect addition to your toolkit – even if you’re often on the move.

For mechanical repairs and maintenance

Our Spartan® DIY G-Clamp is perfect for the temporary clamping of hoses, brackets or trim – especially where metal clamps could scratch the materials you’re working with. It will also assist you in light automotive or appliance repairs where metal-to-metal contact is best avoided.

For light chemical or lab use

Spartan® DIY G-Clamp’s glass-filled Noryl composition makes it chemically resistant to many solvents, and therefore safe for clamping tubing, samples or apparatus. It is metal free and will not corrode in humid or reactive environments.

For 3D printing and electronics prototyping

Our Spartan® DIY G-Clamp is ideal for holding printed parts for post-processing or gluing. You could use it to clamp PCBs (printed circuit boards) for soldering or inspection – and it won’t short circuits. The thumb screw allows you to make quick, tool-free adjustments on sensitive builds.

For crafting, model-making and other hobbies

Compact and light, our Spartan® DIY G-Clamp won’t dominate smaller workspaces. The swivel foot adapts to irregular shapes, making it useful for modelling or resin casting. It has a clean, industrial-chic look which will complement craft environments better than many metal alternatives.

For marine, outdoor and other wet environments

The Spartan® DIY G-Clamp will not rust, making it ideal for boat work, outdoor DIY, or gardening tasks. Thanks to its glass-filled Noryl construction, it will hold materials in damp or corrosive settings without degradation.

For photography, optics and studio or stage use

The Spartan® DIY G-Clamp will hold backdrops, reflectors or lenses with a gentle but super-reliable grip. It is made from Noryl so there is no danger of metal contact damaging delicate gear.
